We use some of the highest-quality grout on the market. The days of porous, cement-based grout are over. The latex-based grout we use will stand the test of time and make maintenance a breeze. Don’t let imitators fool you with their standard grout and “latex additives”. Our grout is permanently sealed and contains a bio-block to help fight off mold and mildew.
Most of our clients have experienced a leaky shower in their lifetime. That is one time too many. Our tiling process is designed to virtually eliminate the risk of a shower pan failure. After our wall board and shower pan have been installed, we apply a secondary waterproof layer to the entire shower surface. This prevents the substrate from becoming saturated over time and protects the shower from potential leaks or cracks. It also provides a surface for the tile to move in case there is any settling in the future. This product is called a “crack isolation and waterproof membrane”.
YES. Â Contractors in North Carolina are required to offer a 1-year warranty on services performed. The Bath Shop sets the standard in everything we do, so we also offer an additional 1-year guarantee on our work. This is a promise to our clients that we stand behind what we say and do. We want you to be a client for life and will treat you, your home, and your project accordingly.
The Bath Shop has in-house employees who cover design and project management, as well as some installation such as tile, paint and drywall, and carpentry. We even staff our own licensed plumber. Having in-house employees improves the overall quality and customer service experience. Â While we take great pride in handling the majority of your project in-house, the nature of what we do requires some outside resources, such as a countertop and stone fabrication company, electrician, or specialty trade.
Just fill out our web form to contact us.  One of our designers will contact you to discuss the project and determine if we need to schedule a site visit and initial consultation.  Once the consultation is complete, we work up a detailed scope of work and itemized estimate for your review at a later date.  If you would like to move forward to the selection and design process, we collect a 20% retainer.  Once all your material is selected and in-hand, we secure a date on the calendar, turn the project over to your project manager, and start making your new bath a reality!
We are both! Â We are a licensed general contractor and licensed plumber. Â Our design staff has extensive experience with cabinet and tile layout, building and plumbing codes, and programs like Sketch Up and Auto Cad. Â We are your one-stop shop for a bathroom remodel. Â From design to execution, we handle everything in between.
Bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes. We promise to offer a realistic timeframe that accurately reflects the scope and scale of your individual project. While smaller projects can be completed in 6 weeks or less, full remodels with structural changes and a thorough design could take longer to be fully operational. Common delays can include weather, mold, rot, damaged materials, modified scope, client schedules, backorders, and other unforeseen conditions. We thrive on our ability to respond to such circumstances in a timely and effective manner. Each project is of the utmost priority.
We carry several different cabinet lines, all with solid plywood boxes and soft-close features. Â The majority of our bathrooms feature custom porcelain, ceramic, and stone tile showers. Â We also install groutless showers at special request. Â Quartz countertops are very popular, and most of the fixtures we use come with a limited lifetime warranty.
We want you to have the bathroom of your dreams, so we do not prohibit most items selected by a client. Â Our process includes a personalized shopping service to make selections at some of our favorite suppliers. Â Your bathroom can be as custom as you like, or we can help guide the process to make decisions a bit easier. Â Just communicate to us your needed level of service, and we can accommodate it.
